Pod Priorityとは?
pod priorityは、priority classを通じて割り当てられる整数で、podを重要度でランク付けします。schedulerは作業を配置する際に優先度の高いpodを優先し、リソース逼迫時には優先度の低いpodがevictされて空きを作ることがあります。これはpreemptionの判断の基礎です。
なぜ重要か
priorityにより、混雑したcluster上でbest-effortのbatch jobよりも重要なworkloadがschedulingで勝てます。誤って設定すると、重要なサービスが枯渇したり、安価なjobがそれらをevictしたりする可能性があります。
