Mean time to detect とは、障害が始まってから、監視または人が最初にそれに気づくまでの平均時間である。総復旧時間の先頭部分にあたる。
なぜ支配的なのか
インシデントは見つかるまで修正できません。良い SLI と burn rate アラートは MTTD を縮め、それが直接的に全体の MTTR を下げます。
