Burn Rate - CI/CD Glossary Definition
Burn rate is how fast an error budget is being consumed relative to the pace that would exhaust it exactly at the end of the SLO window: a burn rate of 1 spends it evenly, and higher values spend it faster.
Alerting on it
Multi-window burn-rate alerts fire when the budget is being spent fast enough to matter, catching real incidents while ignoring brief, harmless blips.
